Lauren is a native of Brooklyn who has been helping her friends party in style since before Giuliani was Mayor. She knew she was destined for a party planning career when, at age 2, she felt her imaginary tea party could use 'a bit more spunk.' After a decade in food, event, and hospitality management roles, Lauren attended a creative wedding that blew her away with its artistry and awe-worthy execution of details. She could no longer ignore the siren song of weddings! These days, she's thrilled to use her high level of organization, resourcefulness, out-of-the-box thinking, and love of fun details to help couples realize their best day ever. Her favorite part of it all is getting to know her couples and coordinating all the little elements that help their personalities shine through.
MACKENZIE DELLAPINA : Associate Planner
MacKenzie hails from Denver and started her lifetime love affair for "putting on a show" in 7th grade when she acted in her first play. The acting bug bit her hard and took her to LA where she received her BA in Theatre Arts/Directing from Cal State Long Beach. Longing for more training and discipline, she moved to NYC and received her MFA from NYU's Grad Acting program. Cut to nine years later, living in Brooklyn and planning her wedding, she discovered her passion for the world of events and day of coordinating. Putting out fires with ease, being organized, fast-thinking, creative, intuitive and understanding that the "show must go on" are the qualities that make her an ideal day of coordinator. Her favorite part of working events is the connection with the couple and making their dream day seamlessly come to fruition.
CLAIRE KENNEDY : ASSOCIATE PLANNER
Claire is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio and has loved coordinating parties since her first event in the third grade, a baby shower for her teacher. It was at recess and it was fantastic. She grew up in the hospitality business. Her mother is a chef and through working at her family’s restaurant, creating events, weddings and day-of decor, she learned how important celebrating is. She has a degree in acting, which certainly fuels her love for people and her ability to think quickly on her feet, and she’s spent the last 10 years working in her two loves, events and art. She brings her creativity, organizational skills, detail-orientated nature and positivity to every wedding she coordinates. Her goal is to create a beautiful, memorable day for you and your loved ones. Most importantly though, she enjoys working with couples on their weddings to free them for their most important job on the day: celebrating! She currently lives in Manhattan with her hubby and sweet pup, Ella, and is thrilled to be part of Melissa’s outstanding wedding team.
allison koehler : ASSistant
Allie has been partying like it's 1999 since 1984. With a background in events (Benchmarc Events by Marc Murphy, Magnolia Bakery), she now primarily works as a stylist specializing in weddings and engagements. Her obsessive attention to detail means she notices everything, and when something needs to get done she sees to it that it happens yesterday. Always hustling, her client's smile and satisfaction are her ultimate reward. Allie loves Melissa's approach to events - fun, special, and oh-so-pretty to look at. Working alongside Melissa is a bucket list achievement for Allie, and she is so pumped to be part of the team!
